Interview With Michael (Feb 98)
The following is a transcript of a mini "interview" I did with him in February 1998. These are his written answers to questions I'd asked him through e-mail.
Q: What computer and software do you use?
MC: IBM, Win95, Netscape 4.04, Script Thing32, 8xNEC Cd-ROM, Corel Draw 5, games, etc.
Q: What is your favorite video game, and what was your highest score?
MC: Goldeneye64 or Turok64. I don't own Goldeneye but I play multiplayer and just fool around on levels (not really trying to pass them, just sort of getting a feel for them before I buy it) a lot. I'm at level 5 on Turok (without cheats).
Q: What foreign countries have you visited?
MC: USA (Europe when I was very young)
Q: Describe your school.
MC: Small, great teachers, great principal, my favorite school that I've ever gone to.

Michael's New Animation Feature
On June 22, 1998, Michael began working on a new animation feature in which he does the lead role. He will complete the project in a week. More details to come! Michael, of course, is no stranger to animation voice work. Probably his most famous "voice" is "D.W." in the hit TV series "Arthur".

Michael's film "Little Men" was released on video in July 1998.

"The Tale of Teeka" wins big
Michael's latest animation feature, "The Tale of Teeka", was the winner of two film awards. The first was the Golden Spire Award for Best TV Drama at the San Francisco International Film Festival in the 1999 Golden Gate Awards Competition. According to Michael, there were 1,600 entries from 60 countries competing for the top honor.
The jury's verdict summary showed how deeply they were affected by this film:
"The jury awards the Golden Spire to this program for its compelling story of child abuse, an issue that transcends all cultures. The story is told in a very unique way that makes its message all the more urgent and heartfelt."
The film also won the Banff Award for Best Canadian Program in the 1998 Banff Television Festival.

Michael's star role in this wilderness drama came out on video in July 1999, and can be rented at any Blockbuster Video near you. The film co-stars Dennis Weaver, and tells about a diabetic man and his grandson who struggle to escape from a canyon that is about to be flooded.
